Each section weighs approximately 300g and connects on site to monitor lateral displacement, tilt and temperature. Recommended for boreholes within 60m, with a maximum installation depth of 100m, for slopes, dams, open-pit mines and excavations.
At approximately 300g per section, RT-1015 is easy to transport, handle and install.
Choose 50cm, 100cm or 200cm sections to suit the borehole depth and measurement spacing. Connecting cables and fixed-length wire ropes join the units, simplifying on-site configuration and subsequent maintenance.
02
Automatic temperature compensation for stable displacement measurements
With displacement accuracy of 1mm@50m, RT-1015 continuously measures movement in two horizontal directions at different depths to reveal deformation within the borehole.
Tilt and temperature are measured together. Automatic temperature compensation reduces the effect of changing ambient temperature on measurement results.
03
Sealed construction for long-term borehole monitoring
High-strength composite and 304 stainless steel construction, IP68 protection and 2MPa water pressure resistance make RT-1015 suitable for long-term monitoring in boreholes with groundwater.
Confirm the configuration against the maximum water pressure at the site.
04
Multiple protocols for straightforward system integration
An RS485 interface supports standard Modbus, ASCII and a proprietary hexadecimal protocol. Connect to dedicated data acquisition terminals or third-party acquisition equipment for integration with existing monitoring systems.
An optional combined groundwater level / water temperature sensor measures both parameters together.
Installation depthRecommended: within 60m. Maximum: 100m. For depths over 60m, confirm power, communication and installation conditions with our technical team.

Structure & installation
Assemble on site. Monitor along the borehole.
The RT-1015 consists of lightweight measurement units, connectors, a suspension cover, a bottom weight and a data acquisition terminal. The string can be assembled on site to suit the borehole depth.
01
On-site assembly
Choose 50cm, 100cm or 200cm sections. Connecting cables and fixed-length wire ropes maintain the specified measurement spacing.
02
Borehole collar fixing
The suspension cover supports the sensor string and keeps its monitoring depth fixed.
03
Bottom weight
Maintains string tension and installation stability. A groundwater level / water temperature sensor can be added to suit the project.
The data acquisition terminal powers the sensors and connects their data to field acquisition equipment or remote communication terminals.

01Installation depthRecommended: within 60m. Maximum: 100m.
For depths over 60m, have the technical team confirm power, communication and installation conditions. For depths over 100m, consider RT-1010 first.
02Measurement spacing50cm / 100cm / 200cm
50cm sections provide closer observation of localized deformation; 100cm balances measurement density and installation efficiency; 200cm reduces the number of units in longer strings.
03Bottom configurationWeight and optional combined sensor
A bottom weight maintains string tension in the standard configuration. A groundwater level / water temperature sensor is available as one optional component.
04Data connectionDedicated terminal or third-party acquisition
Power and communication arrangements depend on field conditions. Provide borehole depth, measurement spacing, groundwater conditions and integration requirements.

RT-1015 weighs approximately 300g per section, assembles on site and is recommended for boreholes within 60m. RT-1010 suits deep boreholes, longer strings, high-precision and high-water-pressure monitoring, with up to 400 sections and a high-pressure version rated to a maximum of 4.5MPa.
Which section length should I choose?
50cm sections suit localized deformation monitoring. 100cm balances measurement density and installation efficiency. 200cm suits longer strings where fewer measurement units are preferred.
How many displacement directions are measured?
RT-1015 measures displacement in two horizontal directions, together with tilt and temperature at each unit.
Can groundwater level and water temperature be measured together?
Yes. One optional groundwater level / water temperature sensor measures both parameters together.
Can RT-1015 remain installed in groundwater?
IP68 protection and 2MPa water pressure resistance support long-term borehole monitoring in groundwater. Confirm the configuration against the maximum water pressure at the site.
Which acquisition equipment can it connect to?
RT-1015 uses RS485 and supports standard Modbus, ASCII and a proprietary hexadecimal protocol for connection to data acquisition terminals or third-party monitoring systems.
What information is needed for selection?
Provide borehole depth, measurement spacing, groundwater conditions, power availability and data integration requirements so we can confirm the section length, section count, bottom configuration and associated equipment.
