Wireless crack monitoring

RT-1060Wireless Crack Meter (Draw-Wire)

Stable measurements underwater, immediate reporting of crack changes

The RT-1060 combines draw-wire crack displacement measurement with tilt and acceleration sensing. Complete-device IP68 protection keeps measurements stable even underwater. Ultra-low-power monitoring reports crack changes as soon as they trigger an event.

Measurements

Crack displacement, inclination and acceleration

01

Crack displacement

2 m measurement range, 0.1 mm resolution and <±0.1% FS accuracy.

02

Three-axis inclination

±90° range; accuracy ±0.005° within ±15° and ±0.01° within ±90°.

03

Acceleration and vibration

Three-axis acceleration measurements, vibration frequency and amplitude. Applicable vibration amplitude: 10 mg or greater.

Benefits

Sealed protection and event-triggered reporting

01

IP68 protection for the complete device, stable measurements even underwater

A fully sealed waterproof design prevents moisture from interfering with measurements or causing spurious jumps in the readings. The device reliably monitors displacement changes even underwater.

02

Ultra-low-power monitoring, immediate reporting of crack changes

The device continuously monitors changes in crack width in an ultra-low-power state. When a change triggers an event, it immediately reports data without waiting for the next scheduled report.

Applications

Typical applications

Landslide surface movement

Unstable rock cracks

Bridge expansion joints

Long-travel structural movement

Frequently asked questions

Can it operate underwater?

The complete device has IP68 protection. Its fully sealed design prevents moisture from interfering with measurements and supports stable displacement monitoring even underwater.

Does a crack-change report wait for the reporting interval?

No. When a change in crack width triggers an event, data is reported immediately without waiting for the next scheduled report. Scheduled reporting remains configurable from 0–72 hours, with a default of 2 hours.

What is the battery-life condition?

Battery life is 60 months with a built-in 76 Ah lithium thionyl chloride battery and 4G reporting once every 2 hours.

Which communication options are available?

2/3/4G/5G communications are supported. LoRa is optional.
