Sensor and terminal integration

RT-3000Triaxial Accelerometer and Tilt Module

Digital measurements and event triggers for sensor integration

The RT-3000 series integrates triaxial acceleration, tilt and vibration frequency/amplitude processing for sensors and data-acquisition terminals. Digital results are available over UART at TTL levels. The RT-3001 and RT-3002 offer different tilt resolution and accuracy, with measurement and sleep modes and threshold-triggered interrupts.

Benefits

Integrate digital measurement and event detection

01

Choose the tilt specification for your design

Both the RT-3001 and RT-3002 have a ±90° tilt range. The RT-3001 provides 0.0001° resolution and 0.01° accuracy; the RT-3002 provides 0.001° resolution and 0.05° accuracy. Select the version for the measurement requirements of the host device.

02

Read processed measurements directly

An integrated low-power MCU and MEMS sensor handle acceleration acquisition, tilt calculation and vibration frequency/amplitude processing. Temperature and supply-voltage information are also available, reducing processing work on the host.

03

Switch modes while retaining motion detection

Measurement mode samples internally at 2,000 Hz and performs angle and spectrum calculations. Sleep mode samples acceleration at 400 Hz to retain motion and stationary detection. The host can wake the module through WKUP before reading the complete measurement results.

04

Use event interrupts to coordinate acquisition

Motion detection uses acceleration-change thresholds and duration settings; free-fall detection is also supported. An event can notify the host through the INT pin. The host reads data using Modbus over a TTL-level UART interface.

Frequently asked questions

How do the RT-3001 and RT-3002 differ?

Both have a ±90° tilt range. The RT-3001 provides 0.0001° tilt resolution and 0.01° accuracy; the RT-3002 provides 0.001° resolution and 0.05° accuracy. Shared acceleration and other specifications are listed in the technical table.

Can the module connect directly to an RS485 bus?

Its UART TXD and RXD pins use TTL levels, not an RS485 electrical interface. Integration into an RS485 system requires electrical conversion through the host or a suitable interface circuit.

Is 2,000 Hz the external data-output rate?

It is the internal sampling rate in measurement mode. The host reads external data through the communication protocol; the internal sampling rate does not specify the UART output rate.

Does sleep mode calculate tilt and spectra?

Sleep mode stops these calculations and samples acceleration at 400 Hz to retain motion and stationary detection. Wake the module and wait for the data-ready interrupt before reading complete measurement data.
